Justin Morneau hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI as the Dyersville Jurassics
defeated the Dublin Pubcrawlers by the score of 7 to 6 at the
ballpark.
Dublin fell behind quickly as the Dyersville offense came through in the first
inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided
by Morneau who disappointed the partisan crowd when he doubled which was good
for two runs. Dublin threatened in the 9th but Dyersville was able to put
down the rally.
Aaron Harang(5-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing
6 runs. Joe Nathan gained credit for his 5th save. Chien-Ming Wang(2-3) was
charged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 14 hits and 4 walks
in 6 innings.
The Dyersville ballclub's record now stands at 12-20. Dublin has a record of
16-16 after the loss.
